The new bike seat and more....

We are so lucky to have Rebekah from Friday until Sunday! The two of us went shopping & to lunch on Friday. It was so fun! I bought her a new pair of brown "Mary-Janes". She has had to wear them ALL the time since. Grumpa came home later in the afternoon and decided to go to Wal-Mart and get a seat for his bike. He took our little Rebekah, and when they returned home he had a child’s bike seat and pink child’s helmet with a kitty on it! I guess I thought he was getting a new seat for his bike. Should have known better! It looked like Rebekahs face was messy and I asked if had gotten her a candy bar. He assured me he hadn't. Then on the way back from dinner we passed the $1 ice cream store and Rebekah got excited.......well he didn't get her a candy bar BUT they DID stop off and get in ice cream cone!! hmmmm, can't trust that Grumpa a bit! :) It was so cute to watch Rebekah "help" her Grumpa assemble the bike seat. She was just underfoot and handing him stuff he didn't need yet. He kept saying "Thank you Rebekah" over and over again. He was so patient with her and she was in heaven being the helper (of sorts). We took a bike ride to the park and played on the swings and slides! She was having a ton of fun! Grumpa and Rebekah got to the park before me and he had her on the swing. It was a BIG Kid swing. Not one with a child’s seat. I about had a heart attack watching her swing back and forth with Grumpa pushing her. She was giggling and screaming with total joy! Today (Saturday) we took her to the Livermore Airport for Airport Appreciation Day. I'm so mad at myself for forgetting the camera. We were driving down Vasco when I remembered. She saw many airplanes taking off and landing. Since Grumpa knows a ton of people there, Rebekah got to sit in airplanes that the other children couldn't. I know, you think she is too little to appreciate an airplane, but you’re wrong. She had a blast! She even got to "fly" a peddle airplane!(darn no camera). When a plane would take off her little head would swing around and she'd watch it. If it was flying off, she'd wave and say bye bye airplane!!! When we got into the truck to leave, her little eyes could hardly stay open. Didn't take long and she was snoozing. (she should be tired because she did wake us up at 3am this morning). We are having so much sweet fun with Rebekah and can't wait until our little Ellie-Jane is old enough to spend time with us. (we're waiting and ready!!!)

Why is it Grandchildren are way more fun than our own children? Brad was not nearly as patient or so much a pushover with Angel! (well...maybe he was...and still is).

Cute pics...she is really growing!
